About this work
A colored lithograph shows a stout figure labeled "Special Privilege" climbing a snowy stone staircase at night, lit by a lantern and a candle. A group of men in top hats and period dress follows behind toward a lit doorway, while a small cloaked figure reading a paper labeled "Carol" waits below. The work is attributed to Udo Keppler and dated 1908.
