About this work
A colorful lithographic caricature shows two rugged figures in classical dress carrying a long pole labeled "for contributions" along a rocky coast, while a group gathers under a palm tree beside tents. A seated figure in a white robe with the name Bryan sits at the center, flanked by standing and kneeling men, with the labels Kern, Parker, and Watterson visible. The work is a print by Udo Keppler, dated 1908, published by Puck.
