About this work
A chromolithographic cartoon shows a well-dressed employer leaning on a brick wall and pointing at a sign reading "Notice: The right to lock out is as absolute as the right to strike," signed "Employer's Union." Three workers in work clothes and caps look on at the sign while skeletal steel-framed buildings and cranes rise behind them. The work is attributed to Udo Keppler and dated 1903.
