About this work
A colorful lithographic caricature by Udo Keppler from 1912 shows figures on horseback and on foot racing across a sunlit desert toward a pool labeled 'The Presidency.' Two men crouch behind rifles near the water while mounted riders in feathered headdresses charge from both sides, raising guns and lances.
