About this work
A nighttime chromolithograph shows a pack of dogs wearing collars and howling up toward a glowing full moon labeled PROSPERITY, with the domed Capitol building rising behind them. A tin can with a string lies on the steps in the foreground. The work is credited to Udo Keppler, dated 1899, and bears a copyright line for Keppler and Schwarzmann.
