About this work
A colour political cartoon shows a man in a feathered hat and vest, holding a box labelled Party Harmony and pointing upward, while a group of fur-clad bears with caricatured human faces are driven by his whip. Several bears are labelled with names, and one lies sprawled on the ground at lower right. The print is by Udo Keppler and dates from 1908.
