About this work
A colored political cartoon shows two oversized, crowned figures in red robes with ermine trim seated atop a draped rostrum, labeled Predatory Wealth and Predatory Labor. Below them a small orator gestures beside a document marked Declaration of Independence, while a crowd waves American flags and bunting decorates the platform. The print, titled The annual pleasantry, was made by Udo Keppler in 1907.
