About this work
A colorful lithographic cartoon shows Uncle Sam balancing on a tightrope while pushing a handcar carrying a man in a top hat labeled Public Opinion and a worker labeled Labor, with a railroad sign on the handcar. A small figure below pulls at Uncle Sam's flag-patterned coat, and a rugged mountain gorge with a waterfall lies beneath the rope. The work is a print by Udo Keppler, dated 1913.
