About this work
A caricature shows a large hen with a stern face and a plump body marked with the word TAFT, carrying a man in a red shirt and blue trousers across a field. Below, a heap of eggs is labeled with the words DELEGATIONS and STATE, and a rooster stands near a fence with a farmhouse behind. This 1908 print by Udo Keppler is titled Settin' time.
