About this work
A colour caricature shows a large heavyset man in a dark suit seated at a table, looking annoyed, while a small bespectacled man swings a mallet labeled Sherman Law at a bowl labeled Monopoly. A framed sectional view on the right, captioned The Reason Why, depicts a bottle-like shape with High Protection written at its base. Udo Keppler created this print, dated 1911.
