A caricature print shows a well-dressed, portly man reclining on a stone ledge above two contrasting worlds: a sunlit garden with fountains and flowers on the left, and a smoky industrial city with factories and smokestacks on the right. He smokes a cigar while dreaming of a white domed palace in the clouds, and a miniature domed capitol building rests beside him. The work is titled Lights and shadows, is attributed to Udo Keppler, and is dated 1909.
