About this work
A stormy seascape shows a sailing ship labeled "Shipping Subsidy" battered by breaking waves and rocks inscribed "Opposition," with waves labeled "Press Attacks." Three men with stern expressions and oilskins, one holding a telescope, watch from the deck under torn sails. Udo Keppler created this print in 1901, and it is held by the pdx collection.
