About this work
A colour lithographic caricature by Udo Keppler, dated 1910, shows a heavyset man seated in a chair knitting a tangled garment labelled Taft while cats tangled in yarn balls labelled Cabinet, Income Tax, and Corporation Tax play around him. A slim man in glasses peers in through the window at the scene, and a miniature Capitol building sits on a small table beside the knitter.
