About this work
A colour caricature shows a masked figure labelled Food Speculator aiming two revolvers marked Cold Storage at a farmer carrying butter and eggs, while a consumer with money and a basket approaches from the right. The scene is set on a rural road beneath trees, with a pig and rooster on the farmer's back, and the words Supply and Demand appear in the road. Udo Keppler created this print in 1909.
