About this work
A songbird with a rust-colored breast and gray-brown back perches on a pale branch among bare twigs and dry leaves. Red-leaved plants and tufts of grass fill the lower right and a dark rock sits at the bottom. The print is labeled No 3 at the top of the sheet. Keinen kachō gafu Pl.126 by Imao Keinen, dated 1891, is a Japanese woodblock print.
