About this work
A dark monochrome print shows a row of seated men in formal dress along an ornately carved balcony railing, with smoke rising through the shadowy upper space. The figures are rendered with soft tonal shading, and a bespectacled man at right is the most clearly defined. The work is titled Musicians, created by John Copley in 1910 as a print.
