About this work
A flat cut-paper design in blue, red, cream and pale blue shows a figure in a wide-brimmed hat riding a pale donkey with a rifle across the body, framed by stylized palm fronds. The title Paludja and the name Theo J. van der Wal appear in bold lettering, with a signature in the upper right. This design for Paludja by Martin Horwitz is dated c. 1930 to c. 1965.
