About this work
A colour lithograph shows an ornate medieval helmet with a conical crown, gilded engraved ornament, and inset gemstones, with a mail-like aventail hanging at the side. Red and gold drapery rests beneath it, and a Cyrillic caption identifies the helmet as that of Grand Prince Alexander Nevsky. The print is attributed to Fedor Grigoryevich Solntsev and dated 1849 to 1853.
