About this work
A hand-colored print shows the arched bronze south doors of the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Theotokos in Suzdal, with rows of rectangular relief panels depicting scenes and decorative scrollwork. The doors are set within a grey arched surround with hinges visible at the sides. The work is attributed to Fedor Grigoryevich Solntsev and dated between 1849 and 1853.
