About this work
This lithographic plate depicts a pair of arched copper doors with rows of rectangular panels filled with engraved figural scenes and ornamental borders. The title in Cyrillic and the plate label identify the doors as the southern doors of the Suzdal Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin. The print is attributed to Fedor Grigoryevich Solntsev and dated 1849-1853.
