About this work
This chromolithographic plate shows two ornate wooden canopied seats, one with a gilded icon of a bearded figure in a bishop's vestments holding a book, both draped in red velvet with patterned green and gold panels. A small plan drawing appears above, and Cyrillic inscriptions run across the top and bottom.
