About this work
This chromolithographic plate shows silverware in grey tones with gilded accents, including two ornate vessels with bird and floral relief, a central ornamental piece, a tall covered cup, and a column-shaped holder. Smaller circular plates and dishes are arranged around them. The Russian inscription identifies the objects as a silver flower holder, salt cellar, and cup of 1603, and the plate is attributed to Fedor Grigoryevich Solntsev, dated 1849-1853.
