About this work
A chromolithographed plate shows a richly decorated rectangular panel above a lower band, with the upper field filled by large red and orange flowers and green leaves on a pale blue ground. The surrounding border is studded with gold and jewel-like ornaments, and the lower section displays an intricate arabesque design in green, orange and blue.
