About this work
A chromolithographic plate by Fedor Grigoryevich Solntsev, dated 1849-1853, shows a round gold panagia of Patriarch Joseph from several views. The front displays a green stone carving of a figure scene framed by dark and red gemstones, while the back is covered in blue and white enamel flowers around a Cyrillic inscription. Side and open views reveal the hinged case and its interior compartments.
