About this work
A hand-colored lithograph from the 1849-1853 period by Fedor Grigoryevich Solntsev presents three ecclesiastical garments labeled A, B and C, along with a line-drawn emblem labeled D. The lower element shows a blue cap with gold embroidered crosses, a winged motif and Cyrillic lettering above a fur band, while the upper garments are full-length capes in gold, olive and patterned fabric. The plate is numbered 98 and carries the Russian caption identifying the chasuble and cap of Bishop Nikita.
