About this work

This etching shows a striped tiger walking across an open clearing toward the left, with a deer partly hidden among bamboo stalks and leafy plants at the left edge. Tall reeds, a slender palm trunk, and sparse foliage frame the scene, which is rendered in fine linear strokes on a pale tone.
