About this work
An engraved print titled La Fête-Dieu, after Gustave Brion and attributed to Jean-Pierre-Marie Jazet, dated 1858. A crucifix bearing the INRI inscription stands in an open field, decorated with garlands by a boy on a ladder and several villagers, including women seated among flowers and men bending at its base. Distant houses and trees frame the rural scene under an ornate arched border.
