About this work
A dramatic black and white print shows mounted riders in turbans and flowing white garments hunting lions across a sandy desert. A horseman in the foreground raises a lance as a lion leaps toward a fallen rider, while another lion lies overturned in the lower right and a camel carrying a hunter appears behind the horses.
