About this work
A costume design sketch in pencil and gouache on tan paper shows a masked violinist wearing a long yellow cloak and a dark tricorn hat, playing a brown violin. Handwritten French notes beside the figure describe the costume pieces, including a grey mask, gloves, grey stockings, and black tricorn. The drawing is dated 1918 and is attributed to Jean-Louis Gampert.
