About this work

This hand-colored print shows two architectural elevations of canal houses side by side, with a flat front view of the facades, rows of windows, and entrances at street level. The right building has a brown brick facade, a blue-grey roof with two chimneys, and a central doorway with columns, while the left building is a taller stone-toned facade with red doors. The work is attributed to Cornelis Danckerts II and presents the Amsterdam Keizersgracht houses.
