About this work
A hand-colored print shows three figures in an eighteenth-century style garden, with a tall fountain jet, a large leafy tree, and flowering potted plants. A man in an orange coat stands at right with his arms outstretched, while a woman in a white gown and blue wrap reaches toward a man in a blue coat at left. The print bears a crest below the image and is titled Colin Maillard (L. Lecœur), attributed to Albert Christophle.
