About this work
An engraved print shows a woman in a voluminous gown riding a swing high among dense garden foliage, pushed by a seated man at left while another man reclines in the bushes at right. A sculpted figure stands on a pedestal at the right edge, and a flowering tree arches across the sky. The printed title Les Hazards Heureux de l'Escarpolette appears beneath the image with a small decorative cartouche below.
