About this work
A Japanese woodblock print shows two elegantly dressed women standing side by side, one in a grey kimono with floral and snow-like patterns and a long trailing hem, the other in a red-orange kimono decorated with maple leaves and stream motifs. Both wear elaborate hairstyles with decorative combs, and a signature and title cartouche appear in the upper right.
