About this work
A two-page Japanese woodblock print shows several women in kimono seated on tatami at low lacquer trays, one eating from a bowl with chopsticks while others sit nearby. A wooden veranda with a decorative railing opens onto a landscape with a bridge, and a calligraphy panel is set in the upper right.
