About this work
A colour print titled The Four Generations, after a painting by Laurits Tuxen dated 1902. It shows three men in ceremonial robes with ermine and gold chains flanking a seated elder on an ornate throne, with a young child standing before him. Three bronze-like lion sculptures stand on the checkered marble floor beneath a heraldic crown emblem.
