About this work
A dark, industrial forge interior shows workers in caps and aprons carrying a glowing red-hot steel bar past a tall hydraulic press and a steam hammer. A large gear wheel, a furnace opening, and pipes fill the surrounding space, with more workers visible in the background. The print is titled Grossschmiede, attributed to Otto von der Wehl, and dated 1910.
