About this work
A colour lithograph depicting an Egyptian temple complex with tall pylon gateways decorated with painted reliefs, two pink obelisks, and seated colossal statues flanking the entrance. A procession of robed figures and sphinxes lines a terrace above the Nile, where sailing boats move across the water beneath distant cliffs. Titled Ägyptischer Tempel, created by Müller Wachsmuth in 1906.
