About this work
A colourful illustration shows anthropomorphic hedgehogs and squirrels preparing for winter. A squirrel pushes a cart loaded with sacks and a squirrel child rides atop, while another carries a bundle of firewood, and hedgehog figures stand by a wooden cottage door holding a basket of eggs. The work is titled Winter supplies, made by K. Wagner in 1911, and is preserved in the Portland collection.
