About this work
A chromolithographic print shows an angry man with a raised arm and a wooden chair in hand, confronting a woman who clutches an infant while a child cowers against the wall in a dim interior with broken debris on the floor. The scene is titled La colère de l'alcoolique and is attributed to Jean Geoffroy, dated 1914, as part of the series La famille et l'alcool.
