About this work
A two-panel educational diagram in blue, yellow and brown tones shows the Sun, Moon and Earth in alignment, with dashed lines tracing light rays and dark conical shadows cast by the Earth and Moon. The upper panel depicts a solar eclipse with the Moon between the Sun and Earth, while the lower panel depicts a lunar eclipse with the Moon in Earth's shadow. The print is attributed to F. E. Wachsmuth and carries the German title Sonnen- und Mondfinsternisse.
