About this work
This print shows a standing man in cream-colored eighteenth-century dress with a blue-lined collar, one hand resting on a table draped in green cloth beside an inkwell, quill, and sheets of paper. A dark blue cloak hangs over a red-upholstered chair at the right, set against a column and arched architecture. The work is credited to Thomas Hamilton Crawford and dated 1932, with the title Alexander Hamilton.
