About this work
A colorful lithographic print shows mounted soldiers in khaki uniforms and wide-brimmed hats charging across a scrubby landscape of cacti and palm fronds. The central rider raises a saber while a bugler sounds his horn at right, and bursts of gunfire dot the scene under a red and white flag.
