About this work
A colour relief map of the Arctic region, drawn in a globular polar projection with an inset of Scandinavia to Greenland at a larger scale. Terrain is shaded in orange, yellow and green for elevation bands, and the seas are shown in blue with ice limits, currents and polar exploration routes marked. The sheet is titled Das Nordpolargebiet in seiner Oberflächengestaltung and is attributed to Wolfgang Preuss, dated 1940.
