About this work

A lithographic reproduction shows the Hungarian coronation mantle as a semicircular garment with gold figures on a deep blue ground. Rows of standing saints and enthroned figures are framed by medallions and decorative bands, with a separate collar strip above. The plate is printed on a cream page with a Berlin publisher's credit and the title line Der ungarische Krönungsmantel, Kronschatz im Schlosse zu Ofen, after Bock, dated 1888.
