About this work
This etched portrait shows a man in bust length, turned slightly to the side, wearing a buttoned coat with a high collar and a neck cloth. The lines of hatching shape the hair, face, and clothing against a plain ground, and the inscriptions "Ingres del" and "G. Gorvel sc" appear in the lower corners.
