About this work
A pen and ink drawing shows a man in a dark coat and cap leaning over a bed where a reclining patient rests with his arms folded across his chest. A small bottle and a glass sit on a bedside table at right, and the title and a dedication are inscribed in cursive below the scene. The work is attributed to Hendrik Maarten Krabbé and dated 1898.
