About this work
A dark, heavily textured print shows a hunched figure pressing forward against a violent wind through a landscape of bending trees and swirling, wave-like lines. The strong contrast between the black ground and pale hatched marks gives the scene an agitated, oppressive atmosphere. The work is titled Böse Stunde and was made by Emil Rudolf Weiss in 1897.
