About this work

A monochrome woodblock-style print shows two white geese standing before a tall palm tree, with blossoming hibiscus plants on the left and spiky grasses in the foreground. Light orange tints accent the flowers and goose beaks and feet. This is plate 38 from Kōno Bairei's Bairei hyakuchō gafu, dated 1881.
