A hand-colored caricature print titled The men of paper going to pot or the directors in a stew, attributed to William Heath and dated 1819. Directors of a bank are shown boiling in a large blue cauldron labeled Cash Payments at the bottom of this Pot, with flames beneath and banknotes piled nearby. Speech banners and smoke clouds carry satirical remarks about the financial crisis.
