About this work
A hand-colored print titled Peddler selling clothing, attributed to Denis Dighton, shows three men in early nineteenth-century dress on a city street. One man in a grey coat and lavender breeches gestures toward a blue coat held by a companion in a red jacket and white trousers, while a third man in a long blue coat stands behind him. Pale architecture and a pile of cloth fill the background.
